The Family and School Support Teams (FASST) project is a community collaborative initiative sponsored by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County with supplemental funding from the School District of Hillsborough County and Medicaid. FASST provides case management / family support; helping to access needs and facilitate linkages to various community services / supports.  FASST offers an Early Childhood component focusing on children birth – 5 years old and a School Based component focusing on children in Kindergarten – 5^th grade.

The FASST program works to strengthen the functioning of children, families, and communities by enhancing the protective factors and reducing risk factors they may face. The FASST objectives designed to meet these goals focus on increasing children’s academic achievement, decreasing challenging behavior, increasing families’ ability to provide safe and structured environments, and increasing families’ involvement in school.
