The Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System provides support for Hillsborough County in the following areas: Human Resource Development; Parent Services;  Child Find and Instructional Technology.  Our services are available to teachers, administrators, parents, public/non public schools, community organizations, higher institutions and others involved in the education of at risk and exceptional students.

Child Find offers awareness, community outreach, information and referral, screening and evaluation and service planning for non-enrolled children, disabled or at risk of a disability, with an emphasis on children from three to five years of age.  Pre-Kindergarten assessment teams provide case management and evaluations, assisting families in accessing Exceptional Student Education (ESE) services.

Parent Services includes the Parent Press Newsletter, the Parent Information Series, designed to help families new to Hillsborough County understand and navigate the ESE system.  Parent training and information workshops are also offered along with guidance on ESE programs and services and other community resources.

Instructional Technology Services is provided to exceptional student educators and parents of at risk or exceptional students through planning, implementing or evaluating technological applications.

Human Resource Development provides numerous opportunities for covering district and state priorities with a focus on student outcomes.
