Offer access to speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and mental health counseling for at-risk children ages 3-5.

Our mission: To develop school-ready children and strengthen families by providing access to a nationally accredited preschool and family support program. A Brighter Community, Inc. is a non-profit,United Way supported, nationally accredited preschool and family support program.Through community collaborations we offer access to speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and mental health counseling. We serve economically and environmentally at-risk children, ages 3 - 5 years. We are one of 5 contracted Head Start sites in Hillsborough County, and we offer a before and after school program.  Fees are based on a sliding scale; each family pays fees based on total family income and the number of people who live in the household. Our parents must be working, going to school, or in a job training program in order for their child to receive services at A Brighter Community. Each family at our center qualifies for our family support program; our family support coordinator offers assistance in the following areas: education, transportation, housing, employment, counseling, resource and referral, holiday assistance and other needs determined during case management. We have a fully functioning kitchen and serve two hot meals and one snack prepared on site daily.  Please call for more information and/or volunteer opportunities.
